Welcome to Leiden, European City of Science 2022. The Leiden Drug Development Conference (LDDC), you are attending, is part of this very special year, in which Leiden will be in the spotlight of science in Europe. Leiden is the first city to organise a 365-day festival around this prestigious title, aiming to share knowledge, science and discoveries among everyone with a curious mind. We hope you enjoy your time here in Leiden.
About the venue
By the end of 2020, ECC Leiden was completely renovated and restyled, with all areas upgraded with an industrial look & feel. In 2021 and 2022, fun, innovative hotspots such as The Pool, The Terrace and The Canteen were added.
Since all public areas have also been included in the restyling, the experience can be seen and felt immediately upon entering. From the perfect background music to the coffee and the decor; at ECC you feel at home in the contemporary industrial look with many lounge corners and green plants. The rooms have also been given other names such as 'The Loft, The Cube, The Studio and The Imperial'; this indicates the charm and atmosphere of these new spaces.
