For the third year in a row, the Dementia Expertise Center and care collaboration organisation Transmuralis are organising `Brein & Bios`.As part of World Alzheimer`s Day, free films and documentaries about (living with) dementia will be shown at the Trianon cinema in Leiden from 17 to 21 September. This year, for the first time, performances will be in the evening and on Saturdays.

The Expertise Center and Transmuralis aim to expand dementia awareness in the Zuid-Holland Noord region, offering more than facts and practical advice. Screening free films and documentaries allows audiences to connect emotionally with the experiences of people with dementia and their caregivers. Films like the award-winning The Father with Anthonoy Hopkins and Human Forever follow the personal journeys of those affected. A particular Wednesday afternoon showing of Kapsalon Romy* for children will also occur. These films offer transformative perspectives on dementia and its impact on lives worldwide.

All films and documentaries are free to attend. Visitors reserve their free seats online via the website of the Dementia Expertise Centre (or the cinema).
