Scheltema Leiden: Reopening of the Theater Café
Scheltema Leiden reopened the doors of the Theatre Café in September after undergoing significant refurbishment. The Café offers a welcoming pub-like ambiance and the space is well-suited for hosting business gatherings, networking events, and social receptions.
Scheltema Leiden is located in a former 19th-century blanket factory, just a ten-minute walk from Leiden Central Station. The venue retains much of the city’s industrial heritage, with its historical significance evident in the architecture and design. Alongside the Theatre Café, Scheltema provides a variety of event spaces, suitable for both cultural gatherings and corporate functions.
Situated on the corner of the Oude Singel, the Theatre Café features its entrance on Marktsteeg and a spacious terrace boat overlooking the canal. For larger groups, the café can be combined with the adjacent Theatre Hall, offering additional capacity to accommodate larger groups.
The adaptable design of the Theatre Café enables it to function as a breakout space for business conferences and meetings, providing flexibility for various professional events.
