Restaurant Scarlatti
Restaurant Scarlatti is well-known in Leiden for its sunny, cosy, covered and spacious terrace. In the summer, you can enjoy yourself in the sun.
Since the 80's Scarlatti has grown into a famous restaurant in Leiden and its region. The owner at that time was a big fan of Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti, an Italian composer from the 18th century. He showed his love for Scarlatti's music by naming his teahouse after his favourite composer. Later, Scarlatti grew from a teahouse to a restaurant with a Spanish and Italian kitchen. We kept the name because of the special place it has in the hearts of our many guests who have come here for years. We have our cosy restaurant to thank for our fame, our large terrace where the sun shines for the whole day, the menu full of variety, our atmospheric Herenkamer, and not to forget; our enthusiastic colleagues.
