Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden
The Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden is a monumental location in the center of Leiden. The special building rests on the foundations of the Sint Catharina Gasthuis from 1276. The adjacent Waalse Kerk is the original chapel of the guest house.
The Stadsgehoorzaal was built in the 19th century as a concert hall in an impressive Neo-Renaissance style, which is rare in the Netherlands. The facade with colonnade gives the building a special allure. Of the original interior, the paneling and balconies in the Grote Zaal and the entire interior of the Breezaal have been preserved. The building was originally built as a concert hall, but i also serves as a beautiful conference or party location now. There are various smaller meeting rooms available, but to have something extra special, you can also hold a meeting on the podium of the modern Aalmarktzaal (349 seats)!
