World Health Day 2023

| Leiden Convention Bureau

On the 7th of April, it is the annual World Health Day. This global health awareness day aims to raise awareness of a particular health theme to emphasise a top concern for the World Health Organization (WHO). This year's theme is "Health for All." World Health Day contributes to increasing public awareness of the value of a healthy lifestyle and general well-being. It is a chance to acknowledge the contributions of healthcare professionals and promote legislation and initiatives that will increase everyone's access to high-quality healthcare.

Furthermore, it marks the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization in 1948. The World Health Organization was established by a coalition of nations in order to advance health, protect the vulnerable, and ensure that everyone has access to the best possible level of health and safety. The 75th anniversary of WHO provides an opportunity to reflect on public health achievements that have raised living standards over the past seven decades. In addition, WHO's anniversary offers a chance to inspire action in response to the current and upcoming health challenges.

The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations encourage everyone, including individuals, groups, and communities, to get involved and inform others about health-related issues using accurate scientific information.
