Healthy Society Programme has been launched
On 14 October, during the Festival Gezond Verstand, the Healthy Society Programme was officially launched, an initiative of the universities of Leiden, Delft, and Erasmus (LDE), Medical Delta, and the province of South Holland. This programme aims to improve the health and well-being of residents in South Holland through close cooperation between knowledge institutions, the healthcare sector and governments.
Stronger together for health in South Holland
The Healthy Society Programme addresses the major health challenges in South Holland. The focus here is on accessible and affordable care and supporting residents to stay healthy and in control of their own health for as long as possible. The programme works together with residents, knowledge institutions, care organisations, municipalities and social partners to jointly develop solutions.
Concrete Actions for Health Challenges
With concrete actions and projects, the Healthy Society Programme aims to contribute to solutions for regional health problems, such as reducing health inequalities and strengthening preventive care. The partners involved work together towards a resilient society in which residents are encouraged and supported to actively work on their health.
During the closing part of the Festival Gezond Verstand, the launch of the programme was illustrated with vlogs of the theme leaders, in which they shared their vision from practice.
